How to Get Your Wedding Featured

The Short Answer
Ask your photographer first. Most features are submitted by the photographer or planner, with a full gallery, a short story and a complete list of vendor credits. Pick one place at a time, follow its rules exactly and do not post the full gallery everywhere before it runs. Or enter the Wedwalk Wedding of the Year, which takes entries straight from couples.
What Editors Look for
- A clear style or color story that runs through the whole day
- Details that feel personal, not copied
- A full set: getting ready, ceremony, portraits, reception and details
- Strong light and consistent editing
- A complete list of vendor credits
- A short story of how you met and what made the day yours

Gather Your Vendor Credits
Every feature lists who made the day. Start the list during planning so you are not chasing names later. Here is what a complete list looks like, from Samantha and Michael's wedding at the Jekyll Island Club Resort, photographed and filmed by Vitor Lindo.

How to Submit
- Talk to your photographer or planner. Ask if they want to submit, since many publications prefer to hear from them.
- Pick one publication or blog that matches your style. Read its submission rules.
- Hold off on posting the full gallery publicly while it is under review. Many editors want first look at the photos.
- Write a short story: how you met, the look of the day and one detail with meaning.
- Send the credits list, the gallery link and the story. Then wait for an answer before trying the next place.
Get It on Wedwalk
Wedwalk maps real weddings so couples can walk them stop by stop and tap any detail to meet the vendor who made it. The Wedding of the Year contest takes entries from couples directly: your photos and video, your story and every vendor who made the day. One winner gets $500. Entries close February 28, 2027, and the first winner is chosen in March 2027.
Judges pick from the top vote getters, and Vitor Lindo is one of the judges. Read the official rules before you enter.

Make the Gallery Easy to Feature
- Ask your photographer to include vertical and horizontal versions of key moments
- Keep phone photos out of the submission
- Name every vendor exactly as they spell it
- Get permission from anyone clearly shown who is not in the wedding party
